Dear Love

Dear Love

A Poem by Jaci

When I open my eyes

dear

in the fog of morning light

love

I see beyond the grey clouds

when you are there

I imagine the sound

of your voice in my ears

as I read the words here

making the day better

Past the mask of rain fall

the sun is shining brighter

winters icy fingers

lose power when we are together

and all I can think of

are these hopes and dreams of

you and I forever

love

whatever our forever may be

When I close my eyes

dear

in the darkest of nights

love

I see through the star windows

and I am there

Somewhere in the middle

we manage to touch

it will surely be a sunny day

where we won't be kept apart
