Relevance

Time was irrelevant

as I slept

those baby blue pillow

ocean waves

lulled all worries away

the fish looked

very curious

as they watched

with sideways eyes

ripples of light

danced on the surface

and the old sun peeked

between clouds

in gold, rose,

and orange glory

of a magnificent sunrise

It seemed I saluted

but was merely

shading my vision

so as not to be blind

It's Wednesday now

one more day forward

and someday soon

time will have relevance

when we're sleeping

side by side.
