Summerfield

Summerfield

A Poem by Jaci

The eastern sky

spills dark

into my eyes

where stars sleep

without winking

dreams drift

on wings of owls

into nights keeping

and when the rain

dissolves the light

the suns dance

is rather fleeting

moving fast

to easier fields

where it's still

summertime
