I followed a trail of stars

masking what was hiding there

in milky way dark atmospheres

At every juncture

the same word appeared

an alarm went off in my head

 

color me black

 

but I saw the sun wink

with a shining light

as though to say

remember

you hold the ace of spades.

Things will turn out right

 

color me red.

 

The sun winked again

Go out there

be whatever you want to be

do whatever you want to do

don't let another choose 

or take anything away from you

 

color me blue

 

I coursed with strength

and the spirit of smile

and the new found knowledge

of individual power.
