Death

Have you ever felt the cold touch of death?

An icy cold that cannot be controlled

A cold so chilling it drives out your breath

A harsh cold that is deadly to behold

Family and friends will be heartbroken

When loved ones go off to fight in a war

Many important things left unspoken

Emotions too powerful to ignore

A family member that never woke

The last second gone from their final hour

Their memories of life go up in smoke

Because life is sweet but death is sour

Death is terrible, a living nightmare

Death is all around us, it is everywhere

A very well written poem about death. You just
get the feel from it how cold and awful it really
is. And someone who has felt that awful coldness
of death, you sound like you know very well
what you're talking about. Excellent poem.
