missing the orange bulbA Poem by charlottei wanted to write a poem around the colour orange and it came to mind that orange can be quite a rare colour to see, when the sun is not there. it's really about missing the bright sun
when the summer is silent and over
and the spring a few months gone few oranges do i see beyond my closed and shut window the sun is silent unable to show it's face and i wish autumn, cold winter the sun would come into play anyway perhaps gaining some extra strength finding itself heating on up but cooling down in the freezing lake we call the sky I just want to see a circle of orange floating right on out orange, so simply sparse so few of those colours to see i know that the sun is really a yellow but when it strikes so brightly surely it could nearly be an orange too striking and burning up into fierce and fiery orange hued flames of heat and oh, i do miss the heat playing out in the sky on the cold winter days for it's the only gold bulb i truly ever get to see i mean, there are orange flowers though it depends where you are as to if you will see a orange petaled stem maybe we will miss them on our walks out and about and on those cold and grey wintry days where is the orange when we need a light outside true, we can find it inside should we have a log fire to keep our hearts and feet warm but those who don't we just want the orange and fiery sun to play out fiercly outside of our windows but sadly, we just have to see dull blue a hazy grey and a cold freezing night
