Sheltered From The Fall

Sheltered From The Fall

A Poem by Margaret

Sheltered From The Fall

Night after night I spend

With only my tears

It seems they are my only friend

No one to turn to for consolation

As I clutch my pillow to my breast

Something soft to cling to

To protect me from the fall
Surrounded by four walls
That with each day it seems
Close in a little further
Will I ever be set free
