Missing

Missing

A Poem by BlueZan

Missing pieces

missing smiles

missing elegance and grace.

Misinterpreted happiness

isn't happiness at all

and you took that..

Along with your hands

  to touch

and your voice

  to whisper

and your

heart to beat under my palm

like it beats just so I can feel you

  even though

I feel you despite

the missing space between us and

missing stars down our dirt road

in the country,

the bed of your truck,

sleeping bag,

the sky,

my idea of perfection...

Those stars aren't there unless you are, too and

there's no place for me in this place

when it's missing you

gosh! this is brilliant! mad genius. I can't even give you a favorite line cos' I'd have to copy paste the whole poem back to you.....missing a loved one or love lost, you really make the reader feel it too...Nice work

Very palpable feelings of loss and longing in this. The ending drives the point home like a nail. Very well done!
