A Story That Must Be Told

He was a good kid, the type that did his work and school
Sort of weird, kinda funny, the type that couldn't roll with the cool
Everyday he went through being insulted, spat on, doors shut in his face
Usually he felt like everyday he woke up in disgrace
But he went through life still, he'd just grin and bear it
He believed life would never be fair and if the shoe fits, wear it
Even though everyday a bully would slam him into a wall
He took them as being confused, he couldn't hate them at all
But one day he would encounter a horrible temptation
Far worse than the beatdowns, bullying and aggravation
A group of guys who usually bullied him, approached him humbly one day
It rather shocked him that they greeted him this way
They told him that they wanted him to join their crew
But to join there would be a task for him to do
When he heard this, his worried face turned to a grin
It made his heart jump that these bullies wanted to be his friends
In joyful zeal, he made a joyful bawl,
"I knew there was some good in you guys after all!"
Now that he was one with the crew, he felt his "uncoolness" would fall
Girls were winking and flirting with him as he walked with them through the hall
The leader reminded him of the task, he answered "No sweat"
He didnt realize that he was getting into something he would soon regret
He started losing sense of who he truly was from the start
He was doing what he was told instead of doing what was in his heart
His priorities were out of order, he always put the crew first
And unfortunately, things were only about to get worse
One day they after school the crew went out
To a secret place they only knew about, their secret hideout
The place looked rather rich to him, it was an incredible sight
One day he hung out there and went out with the crew during the night
Each one of them dressed in dark colors, walked through the streets
For him to fufill the task he claimed he could do with ease
They took him to an electronics store that sold everything from music to video
The crew told him to go in and come back out with a stereo
He told the crew,"I can't buy a stereo. I'm broke flat."
The leader said, "Just get it, don't worry about the money. We'll handle that."
So he went in alone and got the best stereo he found
The other shoppers stared strangely at him as he hauled the big box around
One of the guys from the crew found him and said the payment was done
He responded, "You guys must be rich! This was a really expensive one."
"But how did you guys get it without it being scanned?"
The guy said, "We didn't get it scanned or paid for! That's the plan!"
"The plan was, you find the stereo, then you and I jack 'em,
"While the rest of the guys are up front with security distracting 'em!"
He couldn't believe his new friend's words
He was completely shocked at what he just heard
His sense of kindness for their advantage, the crew used it
He backed away from the box and said, "I won't do it!"
The guy got angry and said, "You gotta do it, you promised.
You broke our code you weren't being honest."
He said, " I don't care! I liked it better when you put me through grief!
You can call me punk, chump, or sissy, but you can't call me a thief!"
The guy grabbed him by the neck, took out a gun and pointed it at his head
And said,"You had better do it or i'll blow your head off with lead!"
He screamed back, "NO!" kicking and punching, trying to break from his grip
But the guy was too sturdy and his grip would not slip
The guy said,"You punk! You're about to get busted up!"
Before he could pull the trigger, two police officers rushed up
With guns pointed at the two boys, they yelled out,"FREEZE!"
The guy dropped him to the floor and ran away screaming out, "FLEE!"
And there he was alone, with the cops staring down at him, with no explanation
They handcuffed him, put him in the back seat of the poilce car, and drove him to the station

WOW! Serioulsy, i admit this piece, was lengthy, but AMAZING. Indeed a story to be told, such depth in this alone, how much we tend to lose ourselves and adapt ourselves to what we think is right, through our peers, only to realize, we'd lost oursleves along the way.

He said, " I don't care! I liked it better when you put me through grief!
You can call me punk, chump, or sissy, but you can't call me a thief!"
^^ I Loved these lines, it displayed, he had dignity and inner strength. Truly amazing. A perfect 10.

Keep writing, always
