In My Dreams

A romantic dream with a very stunning and somewhat confusing ending...

Ah,
The sun gleams its golden beam
Against the tender mauve sky
I look through the tall grass field where I stand
And there you are, the sparkle in my eye
I know you, the plants, and animals
Can hear my thoughts and my heart beat
You open your arms, the animals move, the grass parts
I inhale excitedly, and exhale rushing on my feet
Oh faster! Faster! I must go
I must hurry to such a sight
Im a moment away, I meet with you
I come to hold you close, then comes a blinding light

I wake and look around, in my dark room
Standing with my hands out still, feeling like most fools do
Such a wonder haunts and appears in my imagination
I know my mind well, but I never knew you
