Life Goes On

Life Goes On

A Poem by BlueJ22
"

Through the trials of life, whether big or small, life goes on

"

A child wails at the monstrous bruise on his knee as he glares scathingly at the sidewalk curb,

And life goes on.

A girl shivers chillingly at the stationary shadow outside her bedroom producing fabricated monstrosities in her mind,

And life goes on.

A young heart bleeds from its first wound by the dagger of love and pieces together the remnants of her heart,

And life goes on.

A family mourns the cloud of darkness that clutches at their hearts as they mourn the permanently missing presence of a loved one,

And life goes on.

A country is swept up in a marvelous wave that steals away their homes, their comfort, and their loved ones, but prevails with the strength much larger than the marvelous wave,

And life goes on.
