The Unknown

A Story by Clay Jones
"

Short Story, enough to give an insight of my works.

"
It was dark and humid as i walked through the marsh. I was trying to find my way back to the road since my brother threw my phone out the window. He said that he was "sorry", but I couldn't trust him with my life. I kept moving forward hearing my feet stick to the wet muck of the ground, that was when I heard it. There was a slight crack as if something broke nearby. My heart began beating fast as I thought to every possible negative outcome that could have happened. What if it was an alligator?, or a black panther?, what if it was some messed up hillbilly trying to get himself some fresh meat? I started freaking out and moved my feet faster not paying attention to where I was. I got out of the muck and started running. Once I got far enough I took deep breathes and realized my right shoe is gone. I got ahold of my breathing and starting walking again. This time I wanted to kill my brother for going too far.......
