My Lego HeartA Poem by Christian BonoanYou saw my Lego heart in the middle of the street You’ve built me up for me to be alive You saw me burst from the Lego heart And we loved each other from the very start
You wanted to change me so I became a robot A robot living with a Lego heart I followed you to the most treacherous cliff I jumped with trust in my Lego heart
You watched me fall and smirked a little You’re not there below, you just watched me fall I reached for you, but you left me falling I waited to die, but I kept on falling
I changed for you, but it was never enough for you You chose your friends while I’m still falling I was there falling and you never cared at all Still, I’m falling, ‘til you lost interest in me
You held my Lego heart in your palm And broke it slowly piece by piece My heart bleed blue inside your cold palm I fell down broken, but still ask you please?
“Please do not leave me, please love me still” You didn’t care and chose your friends I slept forever, ‘til that one day comes That someone will fix my Lego heart. © 2017 Christian BonoanReviews
