Unjust

Unjust

A Poem by Christian Bonoan

If only the world is just and alive

Then No one will feel the terror of favor

The freedom of loving the one we love

Is quite a dismiss from everyone around

The life of us who can’t make choices

Things to do are filled to our brains

Got no power to make choices of our lives

Things were pushed to our hearts

The happiness of our hearts were locked

To make things go better for them

To stop the screaming and crying

And the nonstop talking of ‘shoulds’

My heart’s getting punished

The lack of understanding reigns

And the shots started inside of me

As no one heard me shout.

I had to read this a couple of times before I really got it. Not that, that is a bad thing but once I did its very intense. Well done

Thanks again Neal for this review :)
A really impressive and relevant poem even in today's world. This poem instantly reminded me of the lgbtq+ community and the injustice that they face. Love is love. I loved this poem
