I just want to play

I just want to play

Playing in this symphony
The feeling of ecstasy
Overtaken my mental competency
Strumming my chords with my fingers tips
swaying my head in the trance of it
the vibes I get
are simply overtaken me
Simply separating my mind from me
Moving my lips with every chord
Envisioning every motion of the score
Tapping my feet on the floor
Oh how I just want more
Just give me more
Looking on they come and go
Ups and downs like my rhythm goes
Clapping their hands at the end of shows
Wearing their finest of clothes
Eye lids are tightly shut
No need to question opening them up
I could do this with my hands tied behind my back
When I’m in this zone—there’s just no turning back
Playing in this symphony
Could do this score for eternity
Don’t you agree
I could do this for you
If you could put your hands together for me
Strumming my chords with my finger tips
I’m loving it
So stop and sit
Because I’m not going home just yet
I just want to play …
