My Insult

My Insult

A Poem by BlueEyedBandit
"

Something I wrote on the back of a reciept at work.

"

Gentlemen walk,

Men will run.

Fellows play,

Elders shun.

Unbeknownst to you,

Who stand so still,

These people have courage,

Strength and will.

Do not judge,

On their voices so loud.

Your voice is but one,

They speak for a crowd.

They speak billions of words,

And comprehend all.

You digest but one,

Your mind being so small.

You try so hard,

For thousands of years,

Breaking a sweat,

From your mind’s grinding gears.

So remain being still,

You ignorant hag!

Watch us run by,

While you surely lag.

Learn to be bold with your words,

And never so meek.

Then maybe you’ll run,

Instead of riding the weak.

May this be my insult,

To you my dear.

Let this motivate you,

I’ve made it quite clear.

I was writing mostly out of boredom and frustration, but I felt it had a little something interesting to say, even if it doesn't make much sense.

i feel like this is something you'd say to an annoying old lady that insults a nice patron. I enjoy this a lot, especially because i love rhyme in poetry. Well written.
