There Were Dragons

There Were Dragons

A Poem by Dra'Gon
"

In essence, a comment on the human/nature interaction and what humanity, in general, is doing against nature.

"

by Matthew "Dra'Gon" Stohler

Can you tell me where the dragons are?
Who once flew the skies so free?
Over mountain and sea, forest and plain,
Of such have I witnessed in my dreams.

But others came who required more,
Poisoned the clear blue skies,
Plowed through mountain, depleting sea,
Removed forest, built upon plain.

Endanger those which have no voice.
Destroy that which is in the way.
We have thrown away the simple life,
To build for ourselves monuments to us.

But what is next if we lose what's left?
How to make up for that lost time?
And the question which I must ask:
Where have all the dragons gone?

This is really cool. I enjoyed reading!
The word choices are nice, and they go
together well, so great job there.
Plus, its a dragon poem! Fantasy Genre
for the win. That's a plus. I liked reading
this, so again, great job!
