WaitingA Story by shasha
I ducked my hands in my hoodie's pockets, resting my back against the bark of a maple tree, facing a lake. The lake's surface blended with the color purple, scarlet and orange, creating a fascinating view. The sun had no longer could be seen, only the rays staying on the sky.
I closed my eyes, letting my lock waved by the wind. I still have hope. There must be a hope for him to come. I couldn't have waited for more than three hours just to find out he isn't coming. I snapped my eyes open. No, that's wrong. I had been waiting for more than three hours. 5 years to be exact. It had been five years since I last saw his delicate face, heard his husky voice, smelled his scent. It had been too long. In this duration of time, it might be possible he forgot about me, the nerd who always followed him around like puppy. I didn't know what am I to him, however, I'm sure about what he is to me. He was my friend. My first friend. And he still is. The sky getting darker, yet I didn't see any figure. "Toby, where are you now?" I uttered to myself, since I'm the only person at this park. I heard no voice replied. He isn't coming. I shouldn't hope too high. Of course a busy person like him had something else more important to do than seeing me. I was only a past to him. "Hey, gummy bear. Why are you looking so sad?" A husky voice approached. I lifted my head from the red converse in front of me to it's owner. I smiled. ~*~
