A Butterfly's Life

A Butterfly's Life

A Poem by shasha
"

A Butterfly's Life

"
My wings flapping in the air
Taking me to a field full of flowers
Called the butterfly's heaven

I can feel the sparkling inside me
Jumping and rising
With the image of nectar filling my head

My legs rest on a soft, yellow flower
Allowing my body to relax
After a long, tiring journey

And then a natural creation,
A pair of proboscis on my head uncoil,
Sipping the sweet, energizing liquid

Before I leave this heaven
I realize one thing
Which I will never forget

I flap my wings
Ready to explore this world
Just by myself

A butterfly's life is free,
 Flying without obstacles
But it always...alone

I Love this beautiful, quiet poem. Butterflies must be the most written about insect, don't you think? Very well written.
