Ephemeral

Ephemeral

A Poem by Blue tailed kite

Red, soft petals,

a memory now withered.

Fragile, round, thin

slowly dissolves into nothing.

Thats the way life is

thats the way is happiness

Like water that slips

away, between your fingers.

An insane blue bird

looks for a cage to call home,

It lives for a while

Ephemeral it is, not Immortal;

Dying on the wings of time,

A time, that once was.

This seemed so simple when I first glanced at ti, but as I kept reading it my mind slowly unravelled. This was a beautiful write, and it has the perfect ending to it. Great job! ^_^

I like this poem. The soft pace of the story create a vision of a insane bird looking to be caged. I like the word "Ephemeral" and the poem was outstanding.
