Keep it broken

Smiling faces

come and go

 

My heart still wavers

to and fro

 

Thats a sign 

its still alive

 

Still can feel love

Still can die

 

So I've decided

to keep it broken

 

The walls of my heart

may never open

 

I'm scared if I heal

And let it open

 

Iam gonna fall

and be heart-broken.

 

So im gonna keep,

Keep it broken

 

Smiling through the

Streets untrodden.

This is very nice. I can relate to this poem in every way. Though I have been heartbroken before. Now I'm not going to let my heart be anyones because I don't want that to happen. I think this is good. I love the rhyme scheme within the poem. Thanks for sharing. :)

This sounds very much like a song to me. I know just how this feels; "You can't break my heart; my hearts already been broken so why fix it just to be broken again? that is, even if I knew how to fix it.
