Courage

Courage is doing what is right
Without having to be told
Courage is leaving everything behind
To defend what you believe in, being bold
Courage is manning up
When you know you've done something wrong
Courage is having fear
But still fighting and staying strong
Courage is facing adversity
But being able to hold on
Courage is looking the enemy in the eye
And telling them to just bring it on...

Courage is many things. Standing for the right. Respect all people. Not allow someone to downgrade another. Standing with the weak. Giving your last dime to a poor person. I was a soldier for 15 years. I met many men and woman with courage. Standing tall for your belief. A excellent poem. Made Old Coyote think too much. Thank you for the powerful poem.

I agree with this whole poem. I don't have as much courage anymore. Though I am a really outgoing person. I liked this because when I was younger I had more courage then I do now, but this is because I've been heartbroken. That made my courage go down lower. That probably doesn't make sense to a lot of people, but that makes sense to me. I liked the way you described the courage. Thanks for sharing. :)
