Infinite TearsA Poem by Blu Maximo
Infinite tears chase each-other like black rivulets
long fake eyelashes incessantly blinking trying to retain remaining tidbits of strength red lipstick smudged from kissing strangers this image is engraved in my mind for the rest of time. I've sensed your darkness the first moment my gaze fell on your face. I've watched your colorless childhood and adolescence rolled before me like a motion picture. Your energy was sadness, and
there was longing in your movements that was hard to overlook. You were one of those rare kind, whom men fail to appreciate for they are easily deceived by whats pleasing in the eye. They do not know the jewel that you hide deep down.
For they are lazy to look past appearances. Demanding the short-lived pleasures.
Many times, you've been broken. Many times, you've been drunk. Been cheated by undeserving lovers and friends. Been lurking to unfamiliar cities and streets. And it finally dawned
that you do not know yourself no more, not even your name. Now you stumble upon the doors
of my life needing repair. But there is nothing to be fixed, you see. You aren't broken, you only lost your way to me;
wandered off for a bit. You have nothing to be ashamed of dear woman. Regardless of your past; rotten or not you deserve my understanding and respect. Whether you love yourself or not;
you deserve my unconditional love. Your guilt, your shame
and shortcomings, your lust,
your addictions
and insanity- I do not mind. Let me rock them to sleep
for they too need a rest.
