A night to remember

A night to remember

A Poem by Bloody_Stars

A lost for words were exchanged

The silence suffocating them both

Tears running like waterfalls

A bad mistake was made

They wanted to talk about it

But it won't make it any better

She went to the cabinet

Pulled out a bottle of Captain Morgan

Instead of putting it in a cup or shot glass

Chugged half the bottle

Her mate stopped her

Screams and cussing were now exchanged

More silenece

A guilt or a regret were shared between them

Door opens

She's gone

He followed

But she was no where to be found

It's been 12 years

He saw his mate

Or what looked just like her

Coming out of school

Found out

It was his daughter

The mother died when she was born

He took her in

Akwardness filled every room

Months passed

They talked, laughed

Told her everything about her mother

Went out to visit her grave

Couldn't bare the pain

But thanked her

For keeping the child.

good. very good. yet a bit too direct. let the reader have a chance to think about it a bit more before telling them more. otherwise, excellent.

This is very intense and sad, but filled with hope and a new chance at the end; it's this cycle of pain and hope that keeps the world turning and you express it so very well.
