Chapter 0, the stanger

Deep in the void,a castle black and dark gray floats in the middle of the shadows lands of the void.Three men sit in the meeting room , their names were ,The Dark Knight ,Shadow, and Nightmare Lord, they were talking about a war coming soon to end all life. nightmare look around the room some look at each of the men and smile "you know why I call you here today , we need to find the key before it to late to take control of the rife to start the war."nightmare say as he looks at them. shadow laugh some darkly and move his arm to cross over his chest " You now that going be hard as the key in the human realm and in a human child that is the bloodrose" Shadow mumble out and lend back in the chair that squeaks under his weight.Nightmare sigh and nod his head" I know that shadow but we can't get out here so we have to find someone goes get the bloodrose for use." nightmare mumbled out a bit stress now thinking what shall that do to get the bloodrose.Knight a cough some get there attained and smile "We can send my son out ,Black have been training and he can live this place and get the bloodrose for use " he say in his dark deep voice that can send shivers down the bravest fighters of hell and heaven.Nightmare thinks for a bit and nod his head and smile" perfect sound like a great plan Knight ,but are you sure he can do this?"

he asks want make sure Black can do this right and not failed.Knight nod his head and laugh a bit " I am sure my Lord he will not fail use."he say and handsome notes to Nightmare about black training and about him.Nightmare read the notes and nod as he read and put the notes down with the others war notes and smile darkly " He seem he be the right on then, send him out tonight , and if he fails he shall die by your hands Knight" he says and looks at him with cold ice started.Knight nod and get up but his right arm over his chest and bow" Yes my Lord as you wish" he mumbled out and Shadow gets up to put his life arm over his heart and bow.Soon after the meeting that all life to work on their plans for the war and life the notes on the table.There was yet someone watching them the whole time from the window stay unseen and quite.and once that walk out the room he slip in and take the notes and slip out.

      Portal watch the men's talk about their plane and use his claw of his life hand to stay put. He frowns some hear what they going to do and need to get the notes so his group the order can stop them and save the bloodrose and keep the key safe before they make the war worse when it comes.Once he knows they are gone he slip in and take the notes put it in his bag and he jumps out the window make a portal below him and go throw.He lands in an office that was black and brown with a tall slim man waiting for him.The tall man that have white fully sold eyes and a slowly white mouth look like he has no face at all look at portal and title head some " Did you get the notes and hear what they going to do portal?" he asks his voice deep yet calming.Portal stand up and look at him , the portal was a short guy with black hair and brown dark eyes pale skin and sharp teeth and claws," yes I did sir, sadly your child is in danger as they plan to get her tonight. shall we send purple out to get her tonight sir?"he ask the tall man . The tall man sighs and turn around look at the window and thought some then turn back around and nod" yes please it is time for my daughter to come home so we can keep her safe from the Darkness." he muddles out and leaned  back on his chair quietly.Portal nods his head and hands The tall men the notes " Yes Mr.stange as you please." he muddles out and walks out the room to get purple to get the bloodrose.

You asked about the dialogue. I like it and you've done a good job of having exposition come fluidly through it. A little formatting thing that would make the dialogue much easier to read would be to begin each quote on a new line. For example:
The girl looked up at the boy, her mouth quivering. "W—what do you mean, he's dead?"
"I mean Ruffers isn't coming back," the boy answered, looking away. "He's gone forever."
The girl began to tear up, and the boy pretended not to see, too aloof to comfort her. ...

The formatting of the dialogue currently is confusing ,but the characters are very interesting!
