Summer is Here

Summer is Here

A Poem by Lady of the Ring

I stare out the window

Smell the flowers in the meadow

In our blue sky

A single cloud drifts by

Poolside fun

Summer has just begun

Blueberry picking

Pond bank fishing

Barbecue grilling

Practice your driving

To pass the test

Summertime is the best

Time for family and friends

And gossiping over the latest trends

Who said this or that

Who got Botox and who got fat

Sun burning is the only fear

Come on over, grab a root beer

Raise in toast for a cheer

And thank God summer is here.
