Scared Witless

Scared Witless

A Poem by Lady of the Ring

Scared beyond belief

Glancing as she runs, searching for relief

Afraid to be alone and in a clique

Not knowing which moment she will pick

Paranoia sets in

Nothing is what it had been

Friends to enemies, acquaintances to friends

Waiting for the fear to come to an end

The principal knows and tries his best

To put her fear, finally, to rest

Every waking moment she wonders

Will they come around that corner

She keeps telling herself to wake

To leave this nightmare for sanity's sake

The coming of May she now dreads

For fear of waking in a hospital bed

Chasidy and Radonna versus me

Maybe now every one will see

The bullies they've turned into

And step in to take my side, too.
