Lost Love

Lost Love

A Poem by Lady of the Ring

In this house, I love you is rarely heard

Life itself seems to shun the very word

Love is not seen nor spoken

Nor comes to heal the heart that is broken

Love sits idly on a mother's heart

watching, waiting for the time to do its part

but never will that time arrive

Never will love begin to thrive

in this household, Love

like the snow white dove

has flown away

never to return, for love has lost its way

Such sadness and for me reminded me of the marriage I once had....lonely and bleak, your rhyming is lovely, and you hold much in a short piece of work that many will relate too.
