Forever your Angel

Forever your Angel

A Poem by Lady of the Ring

From the start

Only you controlled my heart

Right before our eyes

Everything changed, what a surprise

Vaguely familiar, but not the same

Everyone thinks its just a game

Right here, in our hearts, we know that isn't true

You brought out the true me

Only you and I are meant to be

Unconditional is our love

Right now you're what I'm thinking of

Arms tightly wound around my waist

Night is warmer in your embrace

Gentle, yet strong

Enduring what others deem to be wrong

Loving you just the same

Other people's opinion of a relationship is unnecessary, unwarranted, and unrealistic.
A relationship will ultimately fail if the love deemed between two is not lived only for the two, especially while those "others" are too busy living their own lives, being in love just the same.
And love is never a game. You're right. If it is to one, then it eventually doesn't exist to either.

I like this poem; your simple way of shouting out to the world the truth of your feelings.
Now if you can reconcile such a beautiful poem to who it was written for-
that would be so sweet. Tomorrow is the Sweetest Day.
And I'm glad I read this today. I always wonder what goes on inside a poet's heart.
