Falling

Falling

A Poem by Lady of the Ring

I’ve found myself falling

Can’t help but worrying

That it’s happening

Too quickly

How could I not see

Myself as I begin to fall

Not sure I like it at all

My heart says one thing

My head says another.

I’ve found myself falling

I feel like I’m drowning

In emotions that I may be dreaming

I don’t want to wake

Can’t take the pain for sanity’s sake

The unfamiliar traps me

Keeps me from what I need to see

Listening to my heart say one thing

And my head say another.

I’m falling for him

I’m right on the rim

Of loving without a care

I can’t see straight without him there

I’m losing the battle in my heart

While my head says this is just a start

I can’t help but feel

Love because he has helped me to heal

My heart, only to steal it from me

But I’ve fallen gladly.

Nicely done! I know the feeling of falling all too well...hopefully your landing is cushioned.

Best wishes,

i really cant decide if our hearts are our friends or are they our enemies? even though our minds see it is not proper to feel someone for any reasons or even many reasons. we find our hearts disobedient and they may take us to the unknown fate..
i have really enjoyed how you have expressed such feelings of conflict between mind and heart in a very nice way...but although it is said..Follow your heart, i dont see it as a logic thing since our hearts are not such responsible leaders...they rarely make the right decisions...
thank you for the wonderful enjoying poem..
