The tension grows stronger

I'm not sure how much longer

You ran when things ot tough

my love clearly wasn't enough

for you to stay with me I take

I have my doubts

what you were really about

you pierced the armor around my heart

a single phrase was the start

now here I am, in pieces torn

lost in my head, forever forlorn

 

I cry myself to sleep at night

all my emotions, I have to fight

so I don't drown in my sorrow

when I wake up tomorrow

you lied to me

I can clearly see

forever never lasts

except as memories of the past

I can't forgive you

But somehow I still love you.
