Halls

Halls

A Poem by Thief Lord Alex
"

Just something from school

"

I see him every morning
Where the hallway ends

We pass each other everyday
And I enjoy the looks he sends

You can almost fell the tension
In the looks we give each other

I wonder what dear Nikki would say
If she knew I was staring at her brother

When we see each other in the halls
We stare each other down

As weird as it feels to say
He’s one of the finest boys in town

He’s tall and cute
And a total geek

And yet I still
Long to hear him speak

I miss him
From the years gone past

But looking at him now
I like how the dice were cast

Looking to the past
I wonder if he remembers me

But looking at him now
I think of how we could be

If he’ll be my date
Then the dance will be great.

It's a sweet poem and a true one as well. I've had the same thing happen, but it wasn't with a friends brother. It was back in 6th grade. He was a real sweerheart but I never really got to know him well. I'm almost positive he doesn't remember me. All the girls were on him for being related to a famous writer. Such a shame wondering how life would be if things happened. I always have a "What If" question stuck in the back of my mind. Cute poem anyway!
