The Waterbender

Based on the show Avatar: The Last Airbender. I ended up needing to write these to get the right feel of each 'power' because I'm writing a story with characters who can control the elements

Both beautiful and terrifying,

I control a world like no other.

I trust in this precious liquid

Giver of life as my serenity

And my weapon.

I am proud to control

Such a limitless source of

Life.

 

Only I, who finds grace

And power in this substance,

Can control such an incompressible

Source of power.

I find it everywhere,

Hiding in places where

You would never seek.

I can not be stopped.

But never fear,

Though pain and wounds I may inflict,

I am a natural healer.

 

I am that roaring wave that

Crushes all that try to outrun it.

I am the gentle bearer of nourishment

To all life.

I am a trickle and a tsunmai.

I am the Waterbender.

The power of the water makes me feel weak because I need it.
