I found this song and thought I should post it. I wrote it somewhere around the 7/8 grade but I don't know exactly how old I was, in fact I really don't remember writing it at all but I did.

Wow, I really love this! It holds such a deep image and motivation. We all feel the mirror is one to hold us back and criticize us, a reason to make us hate ourselves. But we can't stay hating ourselves forever. We are all meant for something in life, be it writing, a marathon, a teacher, a surgeon. Anything could be our calling, but it all starts with us telling the mirror who we are as people, that we are beautiful and that it doesn't matter what it thinks about us. We shouldn't allow the power of a sheet of glass wrapped in a frame define us...who we are...what we mean. We are who we are, just be that and confident in yourself. Love yourself and life will fall into place.
