Time (poem/piece off my head - 2013)

Time is what controls it.

Time is not kind. Time doesn’t care what you have going on in your own life, it will never slow down. You need to take advantage of time. Don’t worry about the whole “YOLO” thing or the “live life like you’ll die tomorrow” crap. Don’t think about that. Think about TIME because you aren’t controlling your life, time is. You may control what you do in your life but how long you have to do it isn’t up to you or your life. It’s up to time. Do not worry about always being happy, never being sad, never being afraid, live your life however you want or the best you can with what you’ve been given. Make the most of each day, not because “you may die tomorrow” but because you WANT to, because time flies. If making the most of today means crying in your bed for three hours, do it, as long as you’re doing it for yourself. If it means going skydiving, then go skydiving! Do it for you. Not for life. If you wish you were spending more time with family, then go spend time with your family. If you can’t, then go buy yourself a pet and make them your family. Spend time with your best friends, make them your family. Do it for you. Live for the sake of you. For the sake that time doesn’t care about what you want to do. It’s going to keep moving no matter what you say. Your life isn’t short, TIME is quick.
