Making me today

Making me today

A Poem by BlondieFrost

A whisper woke me from my sleep today
It was early dawn, the sun through curtain,
It pulled me from my bed then went away,
Leaving sunlight in my hair and my skin.
A breeze took my hand and closed around me,
Pricking up the hairs on my arms and neck,
I shivered, ready for the day to be,
And it brushed my cheek, like a lover's peck.
The roses looked at me as I passed by
They saw me colourless, so incomplete,
With their rainbow shades, so bright I could cry,
So beautiful that nothing could compete.
And all of nature drowned me in its sea
Resurrected as something rich to be.
