The Morning After.

The Morning After.

A Story by 0_o Abbie

I stretch my arms above my head, yawning. I open my eyes and look at the ceiling. That's weird, doesn't look like my ceiling. I gasp. That's because it's not. My eyes wide I turn my head slowly to the side, and see Luke - shirtless - beside me. He's laying on his stomach, arm curled around his head. I stare at him remembering the night before. I cover my eyes with my hands. Not ready to face the world. Well this is gonna be a fun day. I think sarcastically to myself. I sit up and the sheets fall to my lap. I quickly pull them back up to cover myself. This was a bad idea.

I knew this would happen. His parents were out of town and he had a party. I told my parents I was going to a friend's house. Which was true, Luke is a friend. I remember the night before. A good friend. A boyfriend. I look around his room and spot my underwear in the middle of his floor. Great, I have to go get that. I look quickly at Luke making sure he's still asleep. Although that doesn't really matter now. He's seen me, all of me. But still. I quickly pull the covers off and skip slightly to my underwear and slip them on. Then look around for my bra. I cant find it. This is just wonderful. I spot it near his closet door and scurry over, picking it up. I slip it on and clasp the hooks behind me. Now for the actual clothing.

I look around and then down at myself. I'd worn this bra on purpose, just for this reason. It was lacey and pink and black... Oh dear. I kneel on the floor trying to find my pants, they're under his bed. How in the world? I crawl over and grab them, slipping them on. I have to do some jumping, they're tight. Finially they're on and I zip and button them. Now where is my shirt?

I hear a rustle and look up to see Luke moving onto his back. How is he not up yet? I shake my head and look around for my shirt.

"Good Morning." He says voice still groggy.

I look back at him. "I can't find my shirt."

He runs his hand through his hair and sighs. "Well I don't know where it is."

I laugh, "You should, you're the one who took it off."

He smiles slightly. "Check by the door."

I take a few steps to his door and sure enough there is my shirt. I shake my head and pick it up, pulling it over my head. I turn toward Luke to find him watching me. I glare at him. I am not in the best mood.

He grins. "So?"

I shake my head. "When do your parents get home?"

He sits up suddenly and grabs his clock. "Oh God."

I raise an eyebrow. "What?"

"They'll be here any minute."

I laugh. Just perfect. I look around. "How am I gonna get home?"

"Give me a second, I'll drive you."

I look at him. I'm not amused. "You only have your permit. You can only drive with a licensed adult in the car."

"I know how to drive." I glare. "Look do you want to get home or not? We can wait here for my parents to get here and ask questions I don't want to answer or we can go. Up to you."

I sigh. "Fine."

-- 3 Months Later

I cannot believe I have to do this. I put my hand to my head. This must be the worst possible thing that could've happened. I take a deep breath and look up as my mother walks into my room. Her face is worried. Well she should be. I look at her and take a deep breath.

"What did you want to talk to me about Hun?" She asked sitting on my bed.

I sigh, there's only one way to do this. Rip the band-aid off quickly. I open my mouth to speak but find the words stuck in my throat. I close my mouth and start again. Failing. Again. Okay just do this. "I'm pregnant."

Her eyes immediately widen. "If this is a joke you best tell me now."

I close my eyes. "It's not a joke. Luke is the father."
