Chapter 13 ~ There.

To keep her mind off the nausea Sam struck up conversation with the driver.

"So where are we going?" She asked, careful to not look at the man she was speaking to, aware of the effects it might have on her stomach and it's contents.

"Airport. We are going to send you all to Mexico." He said glancing in his mirror.

She thought about this then caught the detail that didn't click, "There's an airport real close to NY, But we've been driving for like 5 hours."

"Five and a half actually. We are taking you to a different one, we don't know what connections Wakely has. He could trace you all."

Sam nodded then regretted it, she closed her eyes and clenched her jaw. She felt a hand on her shoulder but didn't glance back. She forced herself to relax and Arthur's voice said, "Here, take these." She opened her palm and he dropped in a few pills. Sam looked at them suspiciously then decided they couldn't make her situation worse so she popped them in her mouth and swallowed. Within 10 minutes she was snoring peacefully, blissfully unaware of the twists and turns in the road that would've surely made her sick.

When she woke up Jed dragged her from the truck, she could barely keep her eyes open and was dragging her feet. "Sam stand up." He said, but the words didn't make sence in her mind.

"I might have given her too much." She heard Arthur say.

From what she could tell they were in an airport, Jed dragged her threw the airport cursing Arthur the whole way. At one point, when Jed left Sam, she collapsed. At which point he thourly cursed Arthur before sighing and picking her up. An arm behind her and an arm under her legs. Jed carried her with ease.

Sam still out of it, fell asleep in his arms and barely noticed as they boarded a plane, didn't even stir when Jed set her lightly in a chair and sat beside her. Sam twisted in her sleep as a man's voice came over the intercom, his words didn't process so she just opened her eyes sleepily and looked out her window. Soon fully asleep again.
