Feline

Feline

A Poem by ALifeAquatic
"

First poem it a good while

"

That scent.

Fragrance created,

The combination of

Orange Peels,

Hyacinths and

Shampoo.

How it crept benignly

Along her arms and across her

Chest-

Almost feline like,

Dormant curled upon her lap.

Rising

Falling.

With every breath,

Stirred from slumber.

With every breath,

Smiled upon in decadent

Admiration.

How it would cower

Amongst the bric -a-brac.

When we would indulge in

Tea and cakes.

Cigarette smoke,

How cloudy the sky became.

Laughter rich upon our voices

Death deep within our throats.

And that scent-

Orange Peels

Hyacinths

Shampoo

Long forgotten-

 As through the remaining afternoon

We slept.
