The Man and The Monster

The Man and The Monster

A Story by BlockSydrome
"

The story about a man defending himself from a monster.

"
The man staggered down the rugged hall. His red, wet flesh splattered against the old, worn ground with each step. He knew someone was here. He sniffed the air, making sure the meat dangling from his skull wouldn't fall off as he looked up. He continued to stumble down the hall slowly, listening for the intruder. A clatter from the kitchen erupted into the quiet atmosphere and the man knew where to go next. He peeled open the feeble kitchen door with his long nails, broken and bloody. Then he saw it. The monster ran around the corner quickly. The man almost missed him, but he growled and gave chase. Lamps and other objects that lined the halls were thrown down to obstruct the man's path, but this didn't stop him. He scraped by the obstacles, leaving gooey flesh behind like a web. After a while of eerie screeches from the monster, the man finally caught up to it. The man grabbed the monster and it began to plead and beg. What a weak monster. The man dug into the chest of the monster with his nails and began to pull out organs, one by one. A pile was made besides the monster as he continued scrounging around its gut. The heart was torn out and those horrible monstrous screeches finally stopped. Then, silence. Music to the man's ears. The monster was dead.
