Who's Write?

Who's Write?

A Poem by Kat Williams
"

I use to blog

Daily

About love

And hate

Loving her

Hating her

Now I sit and stare at the screen

Attempting to put words down

But I can’t

It’s not that I can’t write

It’s not that I don’t want to write

I can’t

I don’t because

I can no longer write about her

She and I are no more

and

The new her doesn’t inspire

Episodic drama inducing writes

No the new her inspires…

Nothing

But living for the day

In hopes for a more

Dramatic tomorrow

Is that nice to say

Is that being real

To real

Drama is what I ran from

To old for drama is what I said

To old for this s**t is what I shouted

Not realizing till I was in the calm

That drama fed me

Now I research old writings

Now I’m licking crumbs

Words sprinkled with no meaning

Anymore

Maybe

No intensity

Maybe

Because they are about her

And I

Not Her and I

And its not like I can tell

The new her

That writing for me

Was about her

Initially

Right now

Yesterday

Hopefully not tomorrow

And how can I say

And you don’t do

What she did for me

And…breath

Cause it doesn’t mean what you

Think it means

I don’t think it does

Cause I love

You

I love the stability of you

The niceness of you

Your love for me

Sounds boring but its real

Something she couldn’t give

And I know I need to focus on that

But at times

Like today and yesterday and the day before

When I need something

A spark

I reflect on she and I

Instead of you and I

I’m wrong

But what’s write

Ahh, it seems as though every good writer thrives on emotional turmoil. I know exactly how you're feeling my friend. Without the drama, you have no muse...
Anyway, you did an excellent job penning the situation. To the point, and nothing overly fancy. These lines were TASTY:
Now I research old writings

Because they are about her
And I

Wow, just wow. Thanks for sharing.

"Andbreath"

it seems simple, but i really liked that. i know how this feels ... you want to be inspired like you used to be but you can't ... it just doeesn't come. it's aggravating. i love how flustered this feels because the irony is - you're inspired by your uninspiration. women ... rrgghh. ;)
