SterotypesA Poem by Blissful Sinthis enrages me with every fiber of my being.Stereotypes
Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m ghetto. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m rude. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m poor. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m into rap. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m religious. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m homophobic. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I can “twerk”. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m sassy. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I’m automatically Haitian. Just because I’m black
doesn’t mean I wear weave.
I’m black and I’m me. © 2014 Blissful SinAuthor's Note
