Music's AmusementA Poem by Luna CelesteThe melody kisses my ears. My feet feel oddly energetic-- I think I must need a medic. My knees tease as they quiver, then-- was that a breeze that pushed me to the left? I won't let the wind win; I flow to the right, but then I'm brought back again. What a naughty night. I'm prepared to fight. I raise my fists, daring it to bite, but then my fists fly and I realize this is all just a lie. It's not the wind that moves me, it's the music, so I dare myself to dance. I'm like a fluttering tree branch as I sway and sway until the birth of day. © 2015 Luna Celeste |
