SilenceA Poem by Luna CelesteThe swallowing silence grants me a sort of serenity and I'm suddenly aware of the hair on my head and the toes helping me balance. The night sky seems brighter, each star whiter. I feel I'm gravity; everything's falling toward me. The tree branches are my capillaries. The crescent moon, one eye bag when I'm weary The river water is the blood in my veins, and my tears are just droplets of rain. And when the noise is finally naked, let each word hold a world of its own, a single syllable a strange cradle for a mountain range. Let it send shivers to the bone. © 2015 Luna Celeste |
