Cessation - A Villanelle

Cessation - A Villanelle

A Poem by Luna Celeste
"

Regarding the oblivion.

"

The dark devours every sight.

Is nature simply what it seems?

This life annuls, despite a fight.

Beneath a child's simple delight

are pulsing, colored seeds of dreams.

The dark devours every sight.

The biggest questions like to bite

the puzzled humans 'til they scream.

This life annuls, despite a fight.

Creations transform into night;

when ends come, nothing proves supreme.
The dark devours every sight.

Some think the moment must be right;

some deem our lives alone extreme.
This life annuls, despite a fight.

So many ways for death to spite.
I want to drink the days that gleam.
The dark devours every sight.

This life annuls, despite a fight.
