Howl

Howl

A Poem by Megan

On a crisp, dark eve

The Earth howls

Just to prove she's alive

She pours millions of raindrops

From her bitter palms

Onto the skins of her people she nurtures

Her wind runs with the wolves

Her thunder howls to the moon

Her lightning grants power and dominance

Over her newfound pack

Her breath keeps us alive

Her howls keep herself breathing.

This was an interesting write. I like how the beginning starts off like a short story, then how you compared different elemtns of the Earth to the nature of the wolf. My favorite line would have to be "Her lightning grants power and dominance/Over her newfound pack." Very good!
