Numb

Numb

A Poem by Megan

Do you ever remember feeling numb?

Not sorrowly

But beautifully

Slowly trickling away

In the dead of night

All you can see through your path

Are little dust particles

From the lost souls who've come and gone

Your fingertips kiss the 2 a.m. stars

As the utter silence carries you home

The 6 a.m. sun has to come around at some point

But if you ever feel this numb

You won't even be awoken by her gleam.

This is a beautifully written poem. I love how you explain the numbness as being sorrowful, yet beautiful. I have definitely been there before and I've never heard someone explain it so well. Bravo!
