In Love with a Heartbreaker

In Love with a Heartbreaker

A Poem by Megan

She fell in love with a heartbreaker

He'd make her feel a special kind of sadness

He was her teaspoon of sanity

And her masqueraded happiness

Eventually she came to terms

Uncovered his mask

And tore him to bits

She left his bones crumbled on the pavement

In memory of her shattered self she once was

And the heartbreaker she once loved.

"Teaspoon of sanity" -excellent! The last three lines are brilliant.

I like the premise here and the words phrases used like "teaspoon of sanity" and "masqueraded happiness". Good work :)
