Carry Her Home

Carry Her Home

A Poem by Megan

She aimlessly wandered throughout the horizon

Endlessly searching for someone to carry her home

She relied on the arms of a weak man

Living off ash and regret

His feet drug against the pavement

She grew tired of hearing his sad, worn out song

She let go

And carried herself home.

Cool little poem, almost like song lyrics. Very readable.

What is the meaning of the line "his feet drug against the pavement"?? I couldn't quite get my head around that one.

Definitely the third and fourth lines are your best, very strong poetic imagery.

Sounds like a break up. I like the sense of Independence in this poem. Good job! :)
