Dizzy Teens

Dizzy Teens

A Poem by Megan

The crowns on our heads

And the gold in our laps

Are nothing compared to our mothers' morals

Our fathers' lessons

And our neighbors' hospitality

Dizzy teens

Dreaming of living poolside

And blinded by royalty

We all dream of the finer things

But if you only strive for diamonds

You'll end up with pebbles

Silly dizzy teens

If we don't strive for wealth

And only strive for happiness

We'll be royals.

If you couldn't already tell, this is kind of written after "Royals" and "White Teeth Teens" by Lorde. A great meaning in the lyrics I just had to write about. :)
